WCCC Wednesday Night at The Brook, presented by Route 1 Vapors, saw the ying and yang of old and new at the top, as Rich Bushway made his 7th appearance in the finals in 2022, while partner Jeff Piecuch was on his maiden WCCC voyage.  The blend of WCCC experience and newness produced gold, as Bushway & Piecuch swept 9 games en route to taking the title.  Neither had massive PPR numbers, but this was a night of strategic throwing, as Bushway outscored opponents by 1.74 points per round, while Piecuch held serve at a +0.02 clip.  Although they ended the night undefeated, they needed every last throw in the final, as they had to face the loaded duo of Scott Pelletier & Alex Szymanski.  After each team landed a bunch of haymakers, Bushway & Piecuch prevailed in a 23-20 epic that was every bit as good as advertised.

The 3rd place game saw Brian Johnson claim his third bronze of the season, while Katy Singlar snagged her first podium with a 23-7 blitzing of Craig Anderson & Jesob Rockwell.

John Mahoney lapped the field in PPR, posting a dominant 8.81 to lead all players.  Dominic Lander followed with 8.23, and Scott Pelletier logged an 8.09 on his way to the silver.  9 fourbaggers led the way again, with Dominic Lander reaching that mark.

Jesob Rockwell, the record holder for most bags hit in one night of airmail and also the record single-night money winner, got his ticket called – and the first one of the strip to boot!  $1141 was on offer, and Rockwell hit one bag to earn himself a $285 payday.  $856 will roll over to next week.

Finally, we’d love to welcome our newest sponsor to the WCCC family – Wing-Itz!  We are over the moon that the Seacoast’s premier wing butchery is on board!

We would like to thank our sponsors that make it all happen!
