WCCC Wednesday Night at The Brook, presented by Route 1 Vapors, saw two players making their WCCC debuts team up with veteran WCCC members to make the finals, where Joel Small teamed up with WCCC board member Phil Jackson to run a gauntlet of some of the best players the region has to offer to claim victory.  The teams of Scott Pelletier & Shane Bieber, Craig Dutton & John Mahoney, and Brian Johnson & Jack Jennings, all higher seeded teams, were vanquished by Small & Jackson in the playoffs en route to the finals, where fellow newcomer Marc Rusch awaited with WCCC Hall of Famer Jesob Rockwell.

In a final with no washes whatsoever, Jackson conceded the first point to Rockwell before Small pumped in a fourbagger to post an 8 spot over Rusch.  Rockwell scored 4 & 5 in his next two rounds, while Small had a deuce in his to leave things at 10-10 after 4 rounds.   Small & Jackson then laid the hammer down, with a single by Small, a fourbagger 4 by Jackson, then Small administering the coup de grace with the 7 spot to cement a 22-10 victory and top honors for the night.

The third place game saw Dominic Lander, the hottest player (by performance!) in the WCCC, team with Steve Marshall to claim the final podium spot with a 25-10 thumping of Brian Johnson & Jack Jennings.

The biggest PPR of the night came from someone who didn’t win a playoff game, with Scott Pelletier posting a sterling 9.18.  Jesob Rockwell was 2nd both on the podium and in PPR, here with an 8.38, while Dominic Lander duplicated that feat with a 3rd in the tournament and a 3rd in PPR with an 8.28.

Kyle Richard, who won last week’s tournament, got the call to the airmail pipe and took his shots at $1787, or $446 a bag.  None of his sacks found the mark, however, and the full $1787 rolls over to next week,

We would like to thank our sponsors that make it all happen!
